He provided some much-needed attacking invention to the Socceroos and they began to pile on the pressure in the closing stages, knowing a win would be enough to seal their spot in Brazil.

THIS Saturday, Celtic will once again be Scotland´s top club as 128 supporters scale Ben Nevis and perform a Huddle at the top.
 
The special charity huddle at the top of the highest mountain in the British Isles is part of Celtic FC Foundation’s* 1254125 campaign, and the team of fundraisers will be joined by Celtic legend Tom Boyd, who will lead off the Ben Nevis climb.
 
Each climber has pledged 1254125 and raised a minimum of £125 to take part in this momentous event.

LEE Hastings of Dumfries has been a Season Ticket holder at Celtic Park since the early ‘90s – as has his mother Carol – and although he confesses that era wasn’t a particularly fruitful time for the club in terms of silverware, he wouldn’t change his time following the club for anything.

In fact, Lee feels lucky that he has been able to witness the likes of Henrik Larsson and Lubo Moravcik gracing the Hoops at first hand, and has now decided to buy his young sons, Dylan and Cole, their first Season Tickets so they too can take their place at Celtic Park as Neil Lennon and the Bhoys chase down more trophies.

With the £100 reward on offer this season for all standard adult Season Ticket holders including those not previously season ticket holders, Lee decided now was the perfect time to sign Dylan and Cole up for a seat at Paradise.

CELTIC are delighted to announce the signing of Amido Balde on a four-year deal from Vitoria Guimaraes. The highly-rated Portuguese striker scored nine goals in 27 league appearances last season and becomes Neil Lennon´s first recruit of the summer transfer window.
 
The 22-year-old was elated to have joined the Scottish champions and is relishing the chance to make an impact in Paradise.

TOM Rogic played his part as Australia swept aside Jordan 4-0 in Melbourne to put them on the verge of qualifying for the World Cup in Brazil.
 
The talented Celtic midfielder entered the fray in the 79th minute and was soon making an impact in the final third which included one surging run through the visitors´ defence.
 
And he played a part in the Socceroos´ final goal, heading on a cross which was eventually converted by Lucas Neill, the defender´s first goal for his country in his 91st game.

CELTIC will travel to Dublin to take on Liverpool in the inaugural Dublin Decider on Saturday, August 10.
 
The two sides last faced each other competitively in the UEFA Cup quarter-final back in 2003, and the English Premier League side will provide a stern test for Neil Lennon’s double-winning team.
 
Celtic Season Ticket holders will be given the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the match, and will be given priority from Thursday, June 13 at 9.

CLARE Dawson, Celtic’s oldest supporter, has passed away at the age of 109. Clare grew up in the East End of Glasgow not far from Celtic Park and her father was a close friend of Willie Maley.
 
And even though in later years she wasn’t able to attend matches, she still cheered on the Bhoys as she watched the games on television.

CELTIC FC Foundation, the charitable arm of Celtic Football Club, today announced that it has made a £22,419 donation to Mary’s Meals as part of their latest fundraising initiative.

Fans’ favourite, Victor Wanyama was there to support the Foundation’s 1254125 campaign, which was launched last summer as part of the club’s 125th anniversary celebrations, to improve the lives of the world´s poorest and most vulnerable people.

The Kenyan born mid-fielder offered his backing as a keen supporter of Mary’s Meals, a charity which sets up and runs school feeding projects in communities where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.

EFE Ambrose came out on top in the battle of the international Celts today as he and Victor Wanyama went head-to-head in a World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Kenya.
 
A fiercely-fought match in Nairobi looked to be heading for a draw, but the Super Eagles snatched a priceless three points 10 minutes from time with the only goal of the game.
 
And Ambrose played a pivotal role in breaking the deadlock.

NEIL Lennon’s visit to Dublin this week provided another sign, not only of the manager’s popularity in his own country, but of Celtic’s enduring appeal in Ireland.

Celtic FC2013-06-04 19:00 Celtic to face Liverpool in The Dublin Decider
ON Saturday, August 10, 2013, two of the biggest names in world football will come to Dublin, as Celtic and Liverpool face each other on in the inaugural ´Dublin Decider´.
 
Celtic are making a welcome return to the Aviva Stadium, having played there in 2011 in the Dublin Super Cup, while this will be the first time since 1998 that the Liverpool first-team will play in Ireland.
 
Both clubs have committed to bringing full, first-team squads, and this match will form a vital part of their preparations for the 2013/14 season.

WITH the announcement from Dublin today that Celtic will take on Liverpool at the Aviva Stadium in the Dublin Decider in August, the anticipation ahead of season 2013/14 can now begin in earnest.

That match will take place on Saturday, August 10, one week after we kick off our SPL campaign by raising the championship flag.
 
Before that, however, there will be plenty of big match action taking place at Celtic Park, with our UEFA Champions League second qualifying round home tie scheduled to take place either 16th/17th or 23rd/24th July (the draw for this takes place on June 24), a match included in the 2013/14 Season Ticket.
